Shop The Look: My Living Room

Hey friends! I've had a lot of fun bringing in some spunk to this space with painting my door pink and adding that fun accent wall. If you missed those details, you can follow me on Instagram @myhouseof8 where I share a quick video of the process. It was as easy as taking a 1" paintbrush (I just found a pack of craft paintbrushes) and painted various lines all over the wall. Crazy, I know, but I love it! I have linked a bunch of items from this space. If I couldn't link my exact product I have linked similar items for ya!

It's been nice to have this little desk space for my kids. With the at home learning situation going on, we can't seem to have enough areas for the kids to work! I found this desk at Tj Maxx, but linked a similar option above. The chair came in a set of 4 from Amazon. We are using the rest of them in our basement study room.

Isn't this pink door and spunky brush stroke wall kinda fun? I love that it almost looks like wallpaper, but sure is a heck of a lot cheaper!

The dark color on the wall as well as the brush strokes is Peppercorn by Sherwin Williams (we had it lightened by 50%). The lighter grey color is Crushed Ice by Sherwin Williams.

I had seen a few people paint their trim the same color as their doors or even their walls. I liked the look of it so I went ahead and tried it here. I wasn't really feeling it in this case, so you can see in the picture above, I painted it back to white. I love it with the white trim! It really makes it POP! I am not sure what the name of this paint color is. It was actually on the discounted shelf at Home Depot because it had been a return. The picture above was taken in the evening and there wasn't a lot of light, so I don't feel like the color is as accurate in the picture as it is in the above photo. It does seem to have a similar look to the color Rose Pottery by Behr, and Rose Colored by Sherwin Williams, so you could check those colors out if you're liking this one!  Below is a picture unedited (meaning no filter or lighting adjustments have been made) of the paint I used on the door. It sure is fun to have this pop with the pink door and the added spunk that the brush stroke wall added to this area! Up next, we will be adding a floating shelf above the two doors of the spunky brush stroke wall! I think it will be fun to add a few plants up there, and help break up the busy pattern.
