Our Favorite Cookie Recipe & Why We Love Walmart+

This post is sponsored by Walmart

You know those days when there are hardly any groceries in the house, but you really don't want to leave home to go get some? Yea we have those days a lot over here! This morning while I laid in bed, I used my Walmart+ membership to order all our groceries. They were delivered to my doorstep this afternoon! I love that with my membership I get to take advantage of free delivery from my store, and sometimes as soon as the same day! ($35 minimum order. Restrictions apply). Walmart+ members also benefit from free next day, and two day shipping through Walmart+ and free shipping from Walmart.com - no order minimum. Member prices on fuel as well as mobile scan & go are awesome benefits! You can check out with your phone as you shop-in store! We have really loved all the benefits that come with being Walmart+ members. Click here to check it out!

My four year old and I decided we should make some cookies today! He is at the age where he feels very independent, and wants to do everything by himself.  I organized all the ingredients for him, eggs and all! That part may have gotten a little messy, and we might have had a little extra crunch in this batch, but he sure was proud to do it all by himself!

We fished out as many of the egg shells we could find.

This recipe is a family favorite! It is so simple and always turns out so good, even if there area few bonus eggs shells sprinkled in by a 4 year old!

Chocolate Chip Cookies

2/3 cup shortening

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 cup sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp. vanilla

2 1/4 cup flour

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. baking soda

Mix well and add 1 -2 cups of chocolate chips. We always add at least 2 cups because chocolate chips are the best part!

Bake at 350* for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Enjoy!

On another note, I added a few links to some really cute loungewear from Walmart. This past year, cozy clothes have been my favorite thing to wear! These would also make a great Valentine’s Day gift for a gal pal or your teen daughters!
